USAID|BIZTAR PROJECT AT THE END

BIZTAR has been working to improve the business environment in Moldova since 2007.

Building on the work of its predecessor BIZPRO, BIZTAR has worked with business groups and the government to come up with simple, powerful solutions for business problems.

BIZTAR achievements in all four years of work, 2007-2011, could be summarized in the following several strategic directions: simplification of the business community activity framework, improvements in tax administration, improved access to public information and services and promoting public-private dialogue, to which a number of carried out studies and evaluations can be added, as well as an intense information and communication activity.

The management and staff of BIZTAR are proud and grateful to have been part of Moldova's historic reform efforts.  We want to thank our local colleagues, in both public and private sectors, and wish you all good luck as Moldova moves forward towards its European future.

Douglas Muir

Chief of Party, USAID|BIZTAR Project
