Franchising

Franchising has an important role in the economy of the developed countries. For example in US a significant part of trade is operating based on franchising system. Franchising is largely spread in service providing and is increasing its share because it combines owner’s resources with managerial skills and the success of franchiser’s product. For entrepreneurs and other more experienced business people franchising constitutes a business which in its essence has been developed on the market and recommended itself as a prosperous business.
Successful franchisers have developed their own product quality and standards for services that need to be followed by all franchisees wherever they would operate. Services quality and standards are tested till perfection and their adequate application guarantees a good reputation and increased profitability for the franchisee. Consumers require high standards of products and services and Moldova is not an exception.
The objective of this research is to provide business community with updated information in applying best practices of current franchising activities and evaluate development opportunities of franchising in the Republic of Moldova.
